This Philadelphia Writing-arm Chair resembles a hair comb. It’s back is formed by a continuation of the spindles through the arm rail. The 9 tapered spindles are capped by a curved steam-bent crest with scrolled "ears". The 6 short spindles are capped by a single steam-bent arm rail with scrolled hand holds.
