A woodworker and remodeler for 30 years, I started making reproductions about 13 years ago. A love of primitive furniture coupled with a limited budget encouraged me to make my own furniture. Having studied at Stevens Trade, now Stevens Technical, I convinced Jim Smithgall, a master craftsman of fine furniture and former Stevens Trade instructor, to teach me how to make Windsor chairs by hand. Eventually furniture making became my full time job.
